Hal Culbertson
Hal Culbertson is a Teaching Professor at the University of Notre Dame’s Keough School of Global Affairs. Prior to this service, he worked at the Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies for 17 years, serving as executive director from 2007-2014.
Culbertson completed a term of service in Bangladesh with Mennonite Central Committee, where he worked as a program administrator for a large rural development program.
Culbertson teaches international NGO management and contributes to research and outreach projects focusing on the management of peace initiatives.
Fr. Patrick Gaffney, CSC
Fr. Gaffney is a priest of the Congregation of Holy Cross, beloved anthropology professor at the University of Notre Dame, and the current Vice-Chancellor of Notre Dame University Bangladesh.
An expert on Islam and Islamic culture, Gaffney authored The Prophet's Pulpit: Islamic Preaching in Contemporary Egypt in 1994 and co-authored Breaking Cycles of Violence: Conflict Prevention and Intrastate Crises in 1999. He is fluent in Arabic, French, German, Dutch, Spanish, Italian, Russian, and a competent reader in Latin, Greek, Hebrew.
Fr. Michael DeLaney, CSC
Fr. DeLaney currently serves as Rector of Saint Joseph’s Oratory of Mount Royal in Quebec.
Formerly the director of the Holy Cross Mission Center, Fr. DeLaney has also served in Portland, Chicago, and Santiago, Chile. In Chile, he served as the Superior of the Holy Cross community and the Director at Saint George’s College where he founded the Peace Studies program.
Fr. Thomas O’Hara, CSC
Fr. O’Hara had recently served as provincial of the U.S. Province of Priests and Brothers of the Congregation of Holy Cross and the President of King’s College. He has also worked in the Holy Cross Missions in Bangladesh and Uganda.
